2011 South American Tour Compilation

In 2011 Pearl Jam visited more new countries in South America: Peru and Costa Rica. All shows were sold-out and the band enjoed even greater support than in 2005. 'Ole' chant after "Black" in Buenos Aires was the longest and loudest ever in the history of Pearl Jam live shows, and Eddie had to say that next time the band would pay instead of spectators.

2011 Canadian Tour Compilation

After PJ20 Festival Pearl Jam embarked on a World tour starting it with Canadian shows. They presented live all new song "Ole" and never played before "In The Moonlight" from Binaural sessions. The R.E.M. song "It Happened Today" was dedicated to this magnificent rock band and was performed on a day when R.E.M. announced it's break up, 'calling it a day as a band'. On the other hand, a moment of fun is "Running Back To Saskatoon" song played in Saskatoon and represented in two takes as Eddie forgot the chorus and restarted the song later in that show with the help of the local fan Brian as a lead vocalist. "Rockin' In The Free World" is the longest variant performed in Toronto with the surprise appearance of Neil Young with Mike McCready's guitar jamming on and on and on.

For the last leg of their last so far of the Grand live tours Pearl Jam arrived to Australia and found great enthusiastic crowds. The most special song of this leg is "Thumbing My Way" solo by Ed and Boom.

2006 World Tour European Leg Compilation

Pearl Jam returned to Europe after long 6 years break, and found very warm and enthusiastic welcome. All shows were great, especially the first part of the leg. Spanish and Portuguese crowds were extraordinary loud. Ed's vocal performance was fantastic, but in Madrid his voice suddenly cracked and never revived until maybe the end of Italian shows.

This compilation highlights the most memorable moments of the tour, such as part of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" on ukulele, or 'reverted' "Hunger Strike" duet with Eddie singing the first verse instead of his usual second.
  1. The Boys Are Back In Town

2006 World Tour US Leg 2 Compilation

The second part of 2006 World Tour started in Pittsburgh and then Pearl Jam travelled West, opening 6 shows for Tom Petty among other dates, and finished at gorgeous Gorge Amphitheatre not far from Seattle. Every show was fantastic, the band was in absolutely perfect shape, crowds were great, and even warming up for Tom Petty the band enjoyed loud support and singalongs.

In this compilation Corduroy and Better Man from Denver represent different approach for keys as Boom Gaspar was absent and replaced by Benmont Tench from Tom Petty's band. Bu$hleaguer is with "Georgie-boy" vocal intro. In Little Sister Ed's mistake was rectified with additional solo by Mike. Present Tense is one of the slightly alternated extended outro solo versions, as well as Big Wave. Leash "fox-news-fuck-you" is just a powerful pinnacle of the set, leading to a Yellow Ledbetter "good-bye".
  1. Corduroy
  2. Better Man (Save It For Later)
  3. Bu$hleaguer
  4. Daughter (It's Ok)

2006 World Tour US Leg 1 Compilation

The first leg of self-titled Pearl Jam album promotion tour (Avocado tour, as Ed mentioned) focused on the North-East of the USA. This leg included shows in large cities such as New-York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago. The band was in very good energetic mood, Ed's voice was great from the start and in the final shows was absolutely fantastic. After a long break and endless fans requests, Leash had returned to set-lists rotation. Also this tour provided us with many interesting improvs and alterations, some new covers. In my opinion, the most interesting show of this leg was Toronto, night 2 (and night 1 was very good too). The loudest crowd was in Boston, but overall audience singing was nothing in comparison to, for example, US tour in the same cities in 2010.

For this compilation I've selected some improvs, Alive with much longer final solo (Leash with longer solo went to Vs. Live compilation). After playing I Got Id Eddie revealed a secret that the core of this song had been taken from Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl and played it as a snippet. During Long Road's solo Mike played very unusual U2-like riffs. Daughter and Rearviewmirror feature new tags. Before Rats Matt played drum intro. Very good version of Immortality also includes intro (Ed plays it from time to time) and gorgeous extended outro. And the grand-finale for this compilation is Yellow Ledbetter. After very passionate and energetic Crazy Mary (slow tempo version) and Alive it takes easy and relaxed as Eddie couldn't hold his laughter at something during the first verse and then finished the song with the snippet of Rolling Stones' Beast Of Burden. Also check reworked Garden and more alterations in other songs.
  1. Long Road
  2. Comatose
  3. I Got Id (Cinnamon Girl)  -Ed reveals the secret of these songs
  4. (Toronto Improv 1) Whipping
  5. Daughter (To Come)
  6. Rats  (-with drum intro)
  7. Garden  (-reworked hardened version-2006)
  8. Porch
  9. (Toronto Improv 2)
  10. Wishlist (improv tag "I wish I was the president")
  11. Rearviewmirror
  12. Forever Young
  13. Immortality
  14. Crazy Mary
  15. Alive
  16. Yellow Ledbetter (Beast Of Burden)
Updated to ver. 1.02: Thumbing My Way removed, for better version is taken for European part.

As soon as the 2008 Pearl Jam US tour had been accomplished, Eddie Vedder continued with the second part of his own tour. This time he focused on the East Coast, visiting New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and other famous cities. Ed was joined by Liam Finn and Eliza Jane Barnes for back vocals. Set-lists for this tour featured more interesting covers, a lot of Neil Young's songs and some re-arranged Pearl Jam items, such as lullaby version of Better Man. This compilation is more of a romantic selection. Check also rare Ed's song All The Way, which he wrote in 2007 for Chicago Cubs, his favorite baseball team.

2008 ITW US Tour Leg 1 Compilation

In the year of 2008 Eddie Vedder embarked on his first ever solo tour supporting his album Into The Wild. The first leg of the tour started in April and was focused around the West coast of the USA. It was called "April Fools Tour" and this compilation is all around funny moments, such as an interactive Let My Love Open The Door performance, Dirty Frank riffs on mandolin, or a joky song for Sean Penn, an author of Into The Wild film and Ed's friend. Also Eddie played lots of new covers never heard at Pearl Jam concerts, and some rarities like a snippet of his old Bad Radio song "Believe You Me".

2005 Canadian Tour Compilation

Eddie started this tour at not his best vocal form, but improved show by show. So, vocally the best songs are to be found at the end of the tour. Also mark Winnipeg - it was the really nice show. Highlights for this tour are some funny band-audience interactions like "Let Stone sing!", or many other kinds of 'pearls', such as "sitar-like" jam on "Even Flow", 2005-only tag "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend", Ed's solo presentation of "Gone" and more. Also this was a Ramones-tribute tour with some songs to remember, and don't forget that Canada is Neil Young's home land.
  1. I Believe In Miracles (slow tempo)
  2. Wishlist (tag: you've got to hear the truth)
  3. Daughter (Another Brick In The Wall)
  4. Immortality
  5. Hard To Imagine
  6. Better Man (I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend)
  7. Even Flow
  8. Long Road
  9. Black (improv tag: "still I wonder")
  10. Rearviewmirror
  11. Improv (Let Stone sing!)
  12. Harvest Moon
  13. Gone  (Ed solo)
  14. Crazy Mary
  15. Porch
  16. Improv (Drop the Leash!)
  17. Rockin' In The Free World
  18. Yellow Ledbetter
Updated to ver. 1.01 (20-11-2010): Added Black with "still I wonder" improv. tag from Ottawa; removed Off He Goes;

2005 Latin American Tour Compilation

2005 Latin American tour is the first and the last one so far to visit Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Spanish and Portugeese speaking crowds are maybe the loudest singers in the world so this tour on stadiums is very special. No surprise that my compilation is full of chants and great singalongs - this was the main focus in song selection. The real pearls are It's Ok tag in Spanish (called Esta Bien) performed in Mexico and fantastic stadium crowd singing after Yellow Ledbetter in Buenos Aires.
As for the shows, my favorites are the ones in Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires. Brazilian shows were even more intense, but plagued with Ed's vocal problems. After all South American madness Monterrey show was not the one to remember, but Mexico city audience performed as always well.
  1. Given To Fly
  2. Jeremy
  3. Improv (Santiago ole-ole)
  4. Better Man (Modern Girl)
  5. Black (We Belong Together)
  6. (Improv) Save You
  7. Interstellar Overdrive
  8. Not For You (Mexico chant)
  9. Daughter (Esta Bien)
  10. Untitled + MFC
  11. Kick Out The Jams (with Mudhoney)

1995 Mirrorball Tour Compilation

In 1995 Pearl Jam had an interesting experience to serve as a backup band for Neil Young's album "Mirrorball". In summer Neil Young embarked on 11-date tour in Europe and Israel to promote this record, and his touring band consisted of Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, Jack Irons and Brendan O'Brien on keyboard (producer of many Pearl Jam albums). Only Eddie Vedder was not present.
Set-lists for this tour were pretty much the same. Only audience records exist. Making this compilation, I tried to avoid performances with a long exhausting 15-20 min jams and focused on achieving nice easy listenig. Of course, the great "Cortez The Killer" is on the list.
  1. Mr. Soul
  2. Peace And Love
  3. Scenery
  4. Don't Let It Bring You Down
  5. Mother Earth
  6. Cortez The Killer
  7. (band presentation)
  8. Powderfinger

    2010 European Tour Compilation

European part of 2010 tour was mainly a festival run with shortened and pretty similar set lists, except only couple of "normal" shows. Also Ed's vocal form was nothing in comparison to previous fantastic US leg. But we cannot rate European tour as a heap of garbage. The first highlight was the debut of brand new song - Of The Earth, maybe the heaviest and most agressive song musically after the Ten era. And this is the first song with improv jam inside after Rearviewmirror! The second highlight was very touching Moment of silence during Berlin show dedicated to "nine friends we'll never know" - the victims of Roskilde tragedy 10 years ago. Next song performed was Come Back and Eddie could not hold his tears during singing. This is why this Come Back is definitely not the best live Come Back, but I strongly believe that this touching performance must not be omitted from this compilation.

As the European tour did not provide too many special songs, I also used songs from 2010 Bridge School Benefit (I had to use these beautiful songs somewhere!). Debut of Santa Cruz, two new great covers, "lullaby" version of Better Man (Ed played it before in his solo shows) are the real pearls for this compilation. And finally I've found a good modern Release not disrupted by Boom Gaspar's piano "playing". :)

My personal favorite show for this tour is Portugal. Also Irish shows were interesting to listen. And, in opposition to fan's reviews, French gig was loud and good.
    1. Release
    2. (Brain Damage)
    3. Corduroy
    4. No Way
    5. (falstart improv) Comatose
    6. Arms Aloft
    7. Even Flow
    8. Improv (Portugal, Portugal)
    9. Of The Earth (with very early lyrics)
    10. Just Breathe
    11. Santa Cruz* (acoustic)
    12. Dancing Barefoot* (acoustic)
    13. Better Man* (re-arranged "lullaby" version; acoustic)
    14. Walk With Me* (with Neil Young; acoustic)
    15. Black* (piano and strings version; acoustic)
    16. (Moment of silence) (dedicated to Roskilde tragedy 10 years ago that day)
    17. Come Back
    18. Yellow Ledbetter

    2010 US Tour Compilation

2010 US Tour started off in New Orleans and ended up with two Madison Square Garden shows. The band was fantastic, Ed showed his peak vocal form and audience support was terrific. Even in Kansas City it was surprisingly loud audience and in Hartford, Boston and New York people completely screamed their lungs out. So I think it was the one of the best Pearl Jam tours ever. Every show of the tour was great, but the very best was Madison Square Garden 2 and maybe MSG1 and Boston. Hartford was extremely loud and my favorite set-list show is Newarc.
This tour provided so many special performances that I had nothing to do but to create a long show-emulating compilation with three peaks and two sections to drop off some pressure. Check for completely re-arranged slow version of Lukin, altered tags for Better Man and Black, alternative ending riffs for Daughter, Alive and Porch (for the last two songs it was the same riff played). As always, some great covers including legendary Hunger Strike (from MSG2) with Ben Bridwell from Band Of Horses.

    1. Of The Girl
    2. Why Go
    3. Once
    4. Jeremy (altered chorus)
    5. Better Man (altered version of Save It For Later tag)
    6. Daughter (Blitzkrieg Bop) (W.M.A.)
    7. (improv from Kansas City)
    8. Rearviewmirror
    9. Fatal
    10. Nothingman
    11. Lukin II (completely re-arranged; slow tempo; acoustic; with strings)
    12. Black ("Isolation" version of We Belong Together tag)
    13. Alive
    14. Porch
    15. Jersey Girl
    16. Hunger Strike (with Ben Bridwell from Band Of Horses)
    17. (improv from St. Louis)
